Kiyo takes Silverstone double

Ryuichi Kiyonari took the double win in the second race at Silverstone, leading from the start until the race was red-flagged on lap 14.

Behind Kiyonari the drama unfolded with Lavilla working his way through the field to finished second, and Jonathan Rea finishing third. Shane Byrne crashed out after touching the back wheel of Leon Haslam in an attempt to take second, with Byrne crashing out and Haslam dropping to finish fifth. Leon Camier also crashed out after passing Chris Walker.

The race was red-flagged after Steve Plater suffered an engine blow-out on the fastest part of the track, leading to crashes for Tom Tunstall and Paul Baron.
