Haslam: Mallory is our worst track

1 of 1

Leon Haslam was happy to leave Mallory Park with 36 points after his two podium finishes, especially as the track doesn’t suit the Ducati F06 999, but is looking forward to the Croft round and the remaining races on the BSB schedule.

He said: “Considering this is one of our worst tracks I am over the moon that I have come here and closed 11 points on the championship leaders.”

“I possibly could have got two wins today but I was finding it really difficult to overtake so I am happy to go away with a third and a second. We have a bit of a rest now and then back to Croft and the start of the last leg of the season. I am feeling good and we have some of my favourite circuits coming up. I think I will be able to put in some good performances in the next few rounds.”

“It has been a good weekend for me but obviously it is such a shame that it has come after such sad news on Friday. I would like to send my condolences to the Bridewell’s and Team NB; Ollie was such a nice guy, it is really sad news for everyone involved in the sport.”
