Scott Smart will be on a ZX-10R in BSB again after completing his long-rumoured move back to the Hawk Kawasaki team today (Thursday, March 15, 2007).

Smart, who rode for the team in 2004 before moving to Rizla Suzuki for ’05 then Vivaldi Racing in ’06, will line up alongside rising star Peter Hickman.

He explained: “It’s like being back at home, riding and working with Hawk, and I know that it is going to be good.

“It would be good to match our achievements of a couple of years ago, and that, or better, is what I am aiming for.”

Smart took fourth overall in BSB in the 2004 campaign with Hawk.

He added: “We will have our work cut out because the series is bigger and better than ever now with the level of competition stepping up with more factory bikes in action, but it will be nice to get stuck into beating them.”
