British Superbikes: SMT sign Adam Jenkinson

The SMT Honda team have signed Adam Jenkinson to ride their ex-Hydrex Fireblades in British Superbikes next year.

SMT team owner Robin Croft said: “We wanted to run a young charger rather than an established name, hence singing Adam who had a good season in the national superstock championship last year.

“We’ll start the season with a pair of 2007 ex-Karl Harris bikes but then will develop the 2008 in conjunction with Shaun Muir’s team (Hydrex Honda). In fact we’ll be working closely with them all year and will go testing with them in Spain.

SMT raced Yamahas for Aaron Zanotti until late in season when they switched to the 2007 Hydrex bikes.
