Brands Hatch British Superbikes: Snow storm hits opening round

1 of 2

What is it about British Superbikes and snow at the moment?

After the disastrous three-day test at Snetterton was cut dramatically short by Baltic conditions, the season opener at Brands Hatch has been hit with the same treacherous weather.

Surrounding roads including the M25 are running with speed restrictions due to the heavy snowfall, and BSB organisers are still waiting on making a decision in hope of the weather to change.

As you can see from these pictures the circuit has a fresh layer of snow that has settled on the tarmac surface, so don’t expect to see any action this morning for certain, and possibly not for the rest of the afternoon.

We’ll keep you updated with the news as it happens.
