Mallory Park British Superbikes: Stuart Easton to miss Oulton Park

1 of 1

Stuart Easton will miss round seven of the British Superbike championship at Oulton Park on July 18-20 after getting an update on his broken right wrist today.

The MSS Discovery Kawasaki rider has seen series doctor Toby Branfoot today at Mallory Park and has booked Easton in for surgery to have the bone pinned on Tuesday.

Easton told MCN: “I went to see Toby for an X-ray for my two-week check up.

“The X-ray has shown that the bone has slipped – it’s not anything that I’ve done wrong, it’s a natural thing.

“When the swelling goes down the bone can sometimes slip away when there is no support, and that’s what has happened.

“Now the bone is healing in the wrong place so Toby is going to pin it.

“So now I’m definitely going to miss Oulton, and Knockhill is going to be a push.

“It’s gutting because up until now the bone has been feeling good but Toby isn’t happy with it and I trust his opinion fully.

“What it will do is add a week onto the healing process – it’s a bloody nightmare.”
