Leon Haslam will be looking to get his British Superbike campaign back on track this weekend, and expects his Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade to lend a helping hand.

The British Superbike field go to Donington Park this weekend for round four of the championship, and after a poor start to the season the 2007 double winner believes his new Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade has the ability to put a stop to the Ducati’s dominance.

Haslam said: “It’s obviously time to put my recent disappointments behind me and my ‘home’ circuit of Donington Park is the place to do it.

“It’s a place I probably know better than anywhere, really, as I instruct on my dad’s race school 20 times a year and it’s only 20 minutes down the road.

“I’m looking forward to riding the Honda around there.

“Ducati has dominated in the past – I took the double there last year – but I think the new CBR1000RR Fireblade will go well around Donington.”
