Camier - "I'm a little frustrated"

1 of 1

Leon Camier’s run of pole positions came to a halt today when Josh Brookes got the better of him during qualifying at Knockhill.

Camier, who is good friends with Brookes away from the race track, had to admit that he simply pulled out a good lap.

Camier said: “I’m a little frustrated, I thought I could go a little faster but I didn’t! Josh pulled a good lap out of the bag so good for him I just hope he doesn’t tomorrow.”

Spots of rain fell just at the start of the session and it did unsettle Camier as he admitted: “It was a little on my mind as the white lines are like ice round here if you hit them. I used the same tyre and did a few laps but I struggled to get a clear lap. Second is ok, I need a good start but that won’t happen so I’ll just have to come through. If you lose time here it is hard to make it up especially with Josh’s pace it will be a close race tomorrow.”
