Danny Kent will be riding the Aztec GP125 bike with new backing from Kymco UK in this weekend’s 125cc British Championship round at Oulton Park.

Kymco UK and Aztec are working on a plan 2010 to showcase Kymco’s range of scooters and motorcycles at each of the BSB race events in a new specially-designed hospitality area.

Kevin Molloy of Team Aztec GP said: “As an ambitious, independent 125cc race team which is focused on engineering and design excellence, our aim from day one has been to forge a relationship with a like-minded manufacturer that did not have its own race programme.

“Kymco is that ideal partner – a massive scooter and motorcycle brand.”

Ian Kidson, Managing Director of Masco Limited, the sole concessionaire for Kymco in the UK added: “We are always looking for innovative ways to promote Kymco, as well as opportunities to interact with customers and dealers, especially around the British race circuits.

“I firmly believe that we can benefit from each other’s successes on the track and road.”

Kymco is the largest scooter and motorcycle manufacturer in Taiwan producing almost half a million machines per year. It was originally established in 1963 to make parts for Honda.
