BSB Oulton Park: Race 2 results - Camier fends off determined Easton

1 of 1

Leon Camier won his 18th race win of the year after another frantic scrap with Stuart Easton at Oulton Park.

Following on from yesterday’s race won by Easton, the race went down to the wire with the Scot trying every way he could to find a way past the new British champion – including trying to ride around him at the Hizzy’s chicane on the last lap.

Camier held on to cross the line eight hundredths of a second ahead of Easton’s Hydrex Honda.

James Ellison took third, having switched to his spare bike, which was down on power to his regular race bike. He led for nine laps when Camier took the lead at Island Bend and moments later the safety car was scrambled after Ian Lowry’s bike snapped a chain and broke the crankcases.  Tommy Hill was also in the mix finishing a close fourth.

Sylvain Guintoli continued his long road back to fitness and finished fifth on the Worx Suzuki ahead of John Laverty on the Buildbase Kawasaki.
