Suzuki celebrations at Brands

Alvaro Bautista, John Reynolds, James Haydon, Tommy Hill and MotoGP boss Paul Denning all did laps on the GSV-R while Len Haslam and Sylvain Guintoli rode their WSB Alastare Suzuki GSX-R1000s. Suzuki even got to celebrate a BSB race win when Alastair Seeley took Saturday’s first BSB race.

MCN spoke to MotoGP star Bautista about his Brands experience:

What is your impression of Brands Hatch?
It’s a good track, very nice, very quick. It’s very similar to Laguna Seca in the way there are many corners where you cannot see the apex. There are many hills and crests and you do not have good reference points.

What was it like riding the GSV-R around the course?
I enjoyed the ride but didn’t push so hard. It is very bumpy and there are several changes in surface and on a MotoGP bike, with a very stiff chassis it is hard work.

Would you like to race here?
For sure there are worse tracks in the championship than this one! If the track was resurfaced it would be fantastic.

What do you think of the atmosphere here at BSB?
I like this championship because you have a very good atmosphere. The big screen is like at world championships. The paddock is very busy and I think it’s a very good championship.
