Tyco to back Quay Garage in 2011 BSB

1 of 1

The Quay Garage Honda team are expected to announce Tyco as their title sponsor for the 2011 season at the Silverstone BSB round this weekend.

Team owner Ian Woollacott is not prepared to talk about the deal ahead of the team’s official launch but MCN believes he will be expanding his outfit to two riders, retaining Tommy Bridewell who has shown flashes of brilliance this year on the ex-Paul Bird Motorsport WSB Honda.

But MCN also believes that Dan Linfoot will be joining the team after a fraught season with Motorpoint Yamaha.

Woollacott has been considering buying either the 2010 Swan Hondas or the current HM Plant Honda team bikes – the latter seeming the most likely – but again he doesn’t want to revel the final choice until the weekend.

Tyco backed the Quay Honda team in a one-off deal when Bridewell had a wild card entry for the Silverstone WSB round. The livery remained on the bike for the following Brands BSB meeting as a thank-you to the sponsor.

Tyco Security Products is a US-based conglomerate with their European HQ at Heathrow.
