Tunstall Switches To BSB Evo

Tom Tunstall is raring to take his place on the BSB grid in 2011 after adding his name to a growing list of Evo riders.

Competing in “a race within a race” the Evo specification bikes run to the same spec but with a stock engine and no electronic rider aids regulated by a control ECU.

Tunstall is focussed and eager to start the new challenge and said: “Moving to the Evo class is a logical step for us. The championship is certainly stepping up a level in 2011.

“With riders who’ve scored podiums in the main class and top teams signed up, this increases, not only the challenge, but also the credibility of the class.

With continued backing from the specialist insurance company Doodson Broking Group – Tunstall’s Doodson Motorsport Team will continue to run under the familiar yellow colour scheme.

Rider and team owner Tunstall added: “I’d like to thank Doodson for their continued commitment and I’m determined to repay them with results.

“Our goal for 2011 is very clear and with only two weeks before our first test, we are working hard to give ourselves the best opportunity to accomplish them.

“With track time scheduled in both Spain and the UK we aim to be fully prepared and ready when the season kicks off”

The first race of the 12-round season is held at Brands Hatch on April 23-25.
