Knockhill BSS: Wilson demolishes supersport rivals

Ben Wilson demolished the opposition to take the win and fastest lap of the race at Knockhill, repeating his dominant form of yesterday.

Wilson led from the opening turn, elbowing aside teammate Alastair Seeley to take the lead early on.

Seeley was able to push his way past McConnell’s Triumph to take second, and managed to make a break for it, although he was completely unable to close on Wilson.

However, a charging Stuart Easton, coming from ninth on the opening lap following a disasterous qualifying, was able to force his way past first McConnell then Seeley, leaving them to fight for third as he pulled away.

McConnell, having closed in on Seeley with Easton, was able to pull off a late move to take the final podium spot from the

Ben Wilson said afterwards “I feel fantastic – that was good for me, good for the team. We’ve been testing and done some homework over the break, and it’s paid off. I’ve been in the gym since then too and that’s paid off, but it’s a whole team effort this weekend.”
