MCN’s top ten BSB riders: 7th

1 of 1

With all the dust settled on yet another highly competitive year in the MCE British Superbike championship, MCN have taken the opportunity to look back on the season and sort our top ten riders – based on more than just race results!

7th: Chris Walker

  • Championship position: 6th
  • Wins: 0
  • Podiums: 3

‘Old but gold’ is the motto of Chris Walker these days, and the aged master of the MCE British Superbike paddock proved once again in 2014 why that sentiment has never been truer.

Drafted into the GBmoto Kawasaki team to help with their development of their new ZX-10Rs, Walker did such a good job that the team were quick from the very off, with teammate James Ellison setting an impressive pace.

But that didn’t mean Stalker was left behind, and the veteran expressed his intent in the opening race of the season, taking a remarkable podium at Brands Hatch. That was followed up with two more podiums during the season, proving there’s life in the old dog yet!

He even made it into the Showdown, but a string of off-par results left him taking up the last place spot of the top six come the final flag.

Again being drafted by long time allies Kawasaki for 2015, he’s set to move to Tommy Hill’s new Be Wiser Kawasaki team alongside Danny Buchan, and there’s no reason to doubt he’ll be far away again.
