2002 European Superstock 1000 champion Vittorio Iannuzzo is bound for the MCE British Superbike championship in 2015. The Italian will ride a factory supported MV Agusta for Hampshire Motorcycles supported by Chinese beer giant Tsingtao; the same team that took Danny Buchan to a dominant National Stock 1000 championship this year.

An experienced World Superbike campaigner with a century of starts in the series, he’s also been a consistencst World Supersport ton ten finisher, most recently finishing the series in ninth in 2012 on a Triumph Daytona with the  Suriano team.

Speaking after the announcement on stage at Motorcycle Live at the NEC, the Italian commented: “I am really happy about this my new challenge with the Tsingtao MV team. For every rider to race in British Superbikes is a dream but to do it with a top team and top factory bike it’s even more and more! I expect a lot from this project and I’m sure that with one good team work we can arrive soon at the top. Really thanks to Dave for giving me this chance and also MV Agusta and Tsingtao.  I will give 131% to give back this trust!”

With team boss Dave Tyson forging strong links with the Italian factory with his Hampshire Motorcycles dealership as well as the race team, the team are confident of successes despite the new bikes. The F4 superbike will also be joined by a trio of F3 supersport machines, with former MSS Kawasaki team boss Nick Morgan responsible for preparing the new machines.
