McFadden to finally make BSB debut with Morello

South African David McFadden will finally make his MCE British Superbike debut this weekend at Oulton Park; but not with the MQ Motorsport squad he was originally set to debut in the series with.

Instead, the former South African supersport champion will deputise for the injured Danny Johnson on the Morello Racing Kawasaki, after Johnson injured himself in a heavy highside at Brands Hatch last time out.

McFadden was supposed to ride alongside Spaniard Dani Rivas for the MQ Motorsport team, but the team confined prior to the opening round that they would not be joining the series until at least the round four trip to Snetterton.

McFadden said: “I am really happy to have the opportunity to finally start my BSB campaign onboard the Morello Racing Kawasaki. I’m looking forward to the races as Oulton Park looks a really awesome circuit and the superbike field is filled with big names. I am looking forward to mixing it with them and getting close to the sharp end. I want to say a huge thank you to Morello Racing for this opportunity.”
