Prime Factors to trade EWC for BSB

Surrey-based race team Prime Factors BMW will trade the Endurance World Championship for the MCE British Superbike series in 2016, as the squad helmed by former BSB front-runner Steve Plater returns to home soil.

Completing a strong season last year in the endurance racing series, they will instead switch to the home front in 2016 as an opportunity to show off the range of Alpha Racing products that they act as UK importer for.

And while the squad are still negotiating with riders – with an announcement expected in the coming weeks – team manager Plater says he’s confident they can make their mark on the championship.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for everyone at Prime Factors Racing. BSB is undoubtedly the most relevant series in motorcycle sport, and with 2016 being its 20th anniversary it was a perfect opportunity to make our debut!

“We’re confident that with the calibre of riders we have, coupled with the support from BMW, we won’t be there to make up the numbers and our goal is to mix it up with the more established teams!”
