Ueda hopes for Brno return

Nobby Ueda is hopeful he’ll be back to fitness in time for the Czech GP at Brno on August 25.

The 35-year-old veteran of the 125cc class has been out since he injured his neck and hip crashing heavily during practice at Mugello back in June.

Ueda, who partners Imre Toth in the Semprucci Angaia squad, had had a disappointing season until his accident, but he won at Brno back in 1997, and took second in 1994 and again in 1999, and he’s confident that he can turn his fortunes around here again.

He said: ” I won’t know if I can race there until next weekend, but I’m feeling fit and optimistic of my chances.

” I’ve been doing five hours of recuperation exercises each day and I feel stronger than I have done all season. ”
