Rossi ends row with Honda

1 of 1

Valentino Rossi ended his contract row with Honda on Friday and signed a two-year deal to ride the four-stroke RCV.

The 22-year-old Italian will fly to Japan tomorrow to officially sign and attend a presentation of Honda’s 2002 racing plans on Monday.

The reigning world 500 champion has been at loggerheads with Honda since the middle of last month, when he refused to sign a deal because he wasn’t happy with some minor points of the offer.

Now the dust has finally settled on the saga, Rossi can get back to testing the RCV in readiness for the new season.

He missed the last session in Malaysia because being out of contract, he wasn’t covered by any insurance.

We’ll bring you pictures from Rossi’s signing on Monday.
