The IRTA ‘Best Grand Prix Trophy’ has been awarded to the Czech Grand Prix at Brno in Moravia in 2004.

The award is based on a points scoring system that covers every aspect of running a GP, including track safety, medical facilities, paddock and media facilities, event management and on-track officials.

“The award is deserved for continued efforts in improving Brno’s services and infrastructures,” said IRTA President Sito Pons. “It meets the expectations of the teams and the public. The teams are grateful for this and the audiences are on the increase.”

Former trophy winners include Valencia (2002 and 2003), Mugello (1995-1997), and Donington Park (1989 and 1991).
