Makoto Tamada will not race at this weekends Chinese GP due to a wrist injury from the previous round at Estoril.

Tamada, who rides for the Kinica Honda squad, broke a bone in his wrist during a fall in qualifying. he’ll be replaced by ex 500GP and World Supersport rider Jurgen van den Goorbergh. The 35-year-old Dutchman last rode in MotoGPs three years ago, but in his favour is the fact the Shanghai circuit will be new to everyone as it is the first time the MotoGP championship has visited.
