D'Antin Ducati signs duo

Alex Hofmann and Jose Luis Cardoso will race for the D’Antin Ducati team in 2006, although it isn’t known which tyres the team will use.

Cardoso returns to the MotoGP paddock following time in World SUperbikes, while Hofmann became free after Kawasaki opted not to extend his contract at the end of last season.

Meanwhile in 125cc and 250cc, Matteoni Racing have signed Roberto Tamburini and Alex Baldolini. Tamburini, at 14 year of age, will race in the 125cc class, and already has three Italian and European titles before taking sixth overall in the Spanish 125cc championship. Baldolini stays in the 250cc class in which he finished 18th this year for the Campetella team.
