Davies tests for 250GPs

Chaz Davies begins testing today with the Aprilia Germany 250GP team in preparation for the 2005 Grand Prix season.

The British rider signed to remain with the Aprilia team over the New Year, after riding for them last year. He’s testing in Jerez, Spain, alongside new team-mate Columbian Martin Cardenas. In 2004 Davies was riding using a six-year-old Aprilia chassis, but a newer frame from 2003 will be used this season, and the team are hopeful they will have access to improved engine parts. This gives the teenager hope that he can imrpvoe upon his 13th position in the world standings last year.
