Bid for Rossi's own lid

Every now and again a signed Valentino Rossi replica helmet comes up for grabs in an auction or a competition. Much more rare is an actual helmet raced in by Rossi and also signed by the world champion.

But that’s what is on offer at a charity auction at Cumnor Cricket Club in Oxford on Friday (October 28).

The winning bidder will be contributing to the Children’s ward at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

It’s part of an annual event hosted at the club and known as ‘Pumpkin Night’ and Rossi’s lid is just one of the items available in the auction.

The Rossi helmet was given to a representative of Dorna specifically for the auction.
