Five-times 500cc world champion Mick Doohan married long term love Selina Sines on an island off the Queensland coast in Australia on Friday (April 21).

The ceremony was held at All Saint’s Chapel on Hamilton Island with approximately 100 guests, including Stephanie Sheene, wife of the late Barry Sheene.

Mick, 40, and Selina have been together since 1995 and have two children; a daughter Allexis (aged 6) and son Jack (aged 3). Allexis was the flower girl at the wedding and Jack was page boy. Mick’s Best man was his elder brother Colin. The sole bridesmaid was Selina’s younger sister Krisanne.

Doohan won the 500cc world championship in 1994-95-96-97-98 riding for Honda. He made 137 starts in the 500cc world championship for 54 wins, 95 top-three podium finishes, and 58 pole positions.

He was awarded an Order of Australia in 1996.
