Rossi helps fundraiser

1 of 1

Valentino Rossi fans could get their hands on a piece of history and help a charity at the same time.

The former World Champion has offered the gloves, boots, and racing suit he wore on that fatal day in Valencia when his 2006 title dreams went along with his bike across the gravel trap.

The auction is raising money for the renovation of the Abbey of San Gerolama di Quarto, which is next to the Gaslini Children’s Hospital in Genova, Italy. This will be used for the creation of non-medical structures providing convalescence for more than 50,000 children admitted to the hospital every year.

Find the auction from December 6, 3006 on the Italian version of eBay.
