Cold weather disrupted the first day of testing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit near Valencia for a number of 125cc and 250cc GP teams on Thursday, February 23, 2006.

Many rider either braved the cold in very short bursts, or as in the case of the official Repsol 250 and Humangest Honda teams, spent their day in their pit boxes waiting for the weather to improve.

Luthi will also have been pleased by a new Honda CBR600 Luthi replica, to be sold in very limited numbers in his home country of Switzerland.

Friday, February 24 is the final day of testing at the circuit befoer the teams join the official testing at Catalunya.
