125cc GP teams merge

The Racing World and Team Seedorf 125cc Grand Prix teams will join forces for 2006, sponsored by Valsir, and using Honda machinery.

Valsir Seedorf Racing will field two Italian riders in the shape of the experienced 27-year-old Fabrizio Lai who finished sixth int he championship in 2005 with three podiums, and Michele Conti, who competed as a wildcard last year, finishing 11th at Mugello.

The Seedorf team takes it’s name from AC Milan footballer Clarence Seedorf. Both teams debutted in 2003 with Aprilias, and both switched to Honda in 2005.
