Heidolf to miss GPs

German 250cc GP racer Dirk Heidolf will miss the Italian GP on Sunday, June 4 2006, following a crash in testing.

The Kiefer Bos Racing rider was testing at the Sachsenring when he highsided and injured his right scaphoid and bruised his left ankle.

Heidolf will undergo surgery in the next week, with the hope of returning to the track for his home grand prix at the Sachsenring on July 26, 2006. This means he is likely to miss the Spanish, Dutch and British rounds of the championship, in addition to the Italian race on Sunday.
