Bayliss to ride Valencia

1 of 1

Troy Bayliss will be riding Sete Gibernau’s Ducati in Valencia due to the Spaniard being injured. Gibernau broke his hand and aggravated his shoulder injury when he collided with Casey Stoner’s bike at Estoril last weekend.

Bayliss will pair up with his former team-mate Loris Capirossi for the finale of the season. Bayliss was with Ducati when they first ventured into MotoGP and relishes the chance to go back. Bayliss said “I have this great opportunity and it’ll be great to meet up with some of my old team and mechanics. I do feel sorry for Sete, who won’t be racing in his home GP though.”

“I really like Valencia, it’s a track that I know like the back of my hand and have had good results there.” Bayliss added

This season is Ducati’s most successful in MotoGP and they are hoping to add to their podium tally with Bayliss on board.
