Bautista sets 250 pace

Master MVA Aspar rider, Alvaro Bautista, is the provisional pole sitter for the 250 GP in Turkey after going fastest in the first qualifying practice.

The Spaniard set the fastest lap of the session on his Aprilia at 1:58.405.

Andrea Dovizioso was second fastest on his Honda with this morning’s quickest rider, Jorge Lorenzo, third.

The final front row man from this first session was Bautista’s team-mate, Alex De Angelis.

Ireland’s Eugene Laverty completed the session on his Honda with a time of 2:02.691 in 21st place.
