Rossi wants more power

Yamaha still needs to improve engine performance despite Valentino Rossi’s test topping performance in Sepang last week.

The Italian said he expects further performance upgrades when he returns to the track in Sepang on February 5, 2007 after his comments to Japanese engineers in Malaysia.

He said: “We made a long meeting and will have new stuff for the next test to compare to see if it is better or not. They will work on the engine to have more acceleration and keep good driveability.

“I expect some different tyres from Michelin and some different settings for braking to improve the stability.”
