Valentino Rossi relishing epic Spanish scrap

Valentino Rossi reckons he is relishing the prospect of seeing Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa’s rivalry emerge as a key feature in the 2008 the MotoGP world championship.

The Fiat Yamaha rider is no stranger to bitter rivalries after his famous clashes with fellow Italian Max Biaggi and Spaniard Sete Gibernau.

Lorenzo and Pedrosa’s rivalry looks set to become the next big clash in MotoGP and Rossi joked:

“It is too early to understand which one is Rossi and which one is Biaggi but the Spanish journalists have great fun because Jorge and Dani are not close friends out of the track – like me and Max – and like us Lorenzo and Dani are great talents.

“This year it is possible to see some good fights between Pedrosa and Lorenzo. I’m looking forward to it.”
