Loris Capirossi wary of single tyre rule

Italian veteran Loris Capirossi believes the new single tyre rule won’t inject any new excitement into MotoGP next season.

The factory Suzuki rider believes that some of the boring races that have plagued MotoGP in the new 800cc four-stroke era will remain, despite the entire field running Bridgestone rubber next season.

The triple world champion told MCN: “There will be no change next year, no way. The single tyre won’t change nothing. It will change qualifying and that is it. You won’t see riders being slow on races tyres and going to the top on qualifiers, but apart from that, nothing will change.”

Is Capirossi right about the single tyre rule? Post your thoughts below.
