Julian Ryder has confirmed to MCN that he will continue his popular partnership with Toby Moody on British Eurosport in 2009.

Dorna confirmed today that British Eurosport will continue to screen coverage of the MotoGP world championship in 2009 in a deal agreed with Dorna and the BBC.

Although MCN understands that the majority of races will be voiced by Moody and Ryder from British Eurosport’s UK headquarters, the pairing have both agreed to cover most of the 18-round calendar.

British fans had feared there would be no coverage on British Eurosport in 2009 after Dorna announced last June that it would not be renewing its contract.

But the late deal means all 125 and 250 races will be screened live, while the MotoGP race will be shown delayed on the same day.

Ryder told MCN: “I’m really happy to be continuing because after Valencia last year I honestly didn’t expect to be commentating on MotoGP again. And I’m delighted that British Eurosport has got some coverage. The support we had since last June has been incredible.”

Ryder has commented on MotoGP for British Eurosport since 2000.
