German MotoGP: Valentino Rossi expects renewed Dani Pedrosa threat

1 of 1

MotoGP world championship leader Valentino Rossi is anticipating a renewed challenge from Dani Pedrosa after the Spaniard ended Honda’s worst losing streak for nearly three decades in America earlier this month. Pedrosa took his Repsol Honda RC212V to his first win in 13 months to end a spell blighted by an endless injury list.

The triple world champion though is now back to full fitness and Rossi has admitted expecting an increased threat from the 23-year-old, who is a massive 59-points adrift of Rossi in the title chase.

Fiat Yamaha rider Rossi said: “Dani has shown like we expected that when he is fit that it is possible for him to fight for the victory. It is another problem for us now Dani is okay. He is always fast at this track and he always makes a great start so he is another rival together with (Jorge) Lorenzo and (Casey) Stoner. This will make it more difficult.”
