Donington Park infield fully open

Published: 22 July 2009

Donington Park has announced that the whole infield area will be open for the duration of this weekend's MotoGP.

All construction work has been stopped ahead of the 23rd and final MotoGP at the Leicestershire circuit.

The announcement follows complaints from fans at BSB and WSN events.

Spectators can expect the same levels of access and viewing areas as in previous years, plus extra entertainment and improved traffic plans.

Donington bosses also say they are creating a festival-like schedule and atmosphere to bid a fond farewell to the premier motorcycle racing series, which Donington Park has played host since 1987.

To view a full access map of the circuit and to save £16 on race day tickets by purchasing in advance, visit or telephone 0871 230 7134.

Further money can be saved by visiting before lunchtime on Thursday and choosing the print at home ticket option to remove the cost of postage and packing.
