Chris Vermuelen and Loris Capirossi show off 2009 Suzuki colours

Chris Vermeulen and Loris Capirossi have shown off their 2009 factory Suzuki GSV-R machines in full Rizla livery for the first time in Jerez today.

This morning’s unveiling ended long negotiations between Suzuki and Rizla.
Several rumours had emerged in the winter that Rizla would quit because of the global economic crisis. 

But Suzuki’s stunning start to 2009 winter testing helped clinch a deal, which came despite Rizla ending its long title sponsorship of Suzuki’s British Superbike team at the end of last season.

Aussie Vermeulen and Italian veteran Capirossi have featured strongly during pre-season testing. Triple world champion Capirossi ended up third quickest in Sepang while Vermeulen was an impressive fourth during the Qatar night test earlier this month.
