Mugello GP: Mattia Pasini claims home win

Italian rider Mattia Pasini took the win in front of his home crowd at the Mugello 250 GP clash.

On lap ten Mapfre Aspar rider Alvaro Bautista and Metis Gilera rider Marco Simoncelli bashed fairings and both went off the track, giving Pasini the chance to move in to the lead.

Overall the Team Toth Aprilia rider moved up from 8th on the grid to beat fellow Italian rider Marco Simoncelli by 0.117 sec. 

Third place went to Spanish rider Alvaro Bautista, who started from pole position on the grid. Fourth was claimed by Thomas Luthi for the Emmi-Caffe Latte team.

Pepe World Team rider Hector Barbera finished in fifth place.
