Mugello GP: Casey Stoner takes the win in Italy

Ducati Marlboro rider Casey Stoner took the win at Mugello to earn 25 points and a place at the top of the championship standings.

Spaniard and Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo rallied after a crash on the warm up lap to claim second place.  

Lorenzo’s team mate Valentino Rossi took third place on the podium to the delight of his many home fans at the Italian circuit.

Repsol Honda rider Andrea Dovizioso finished in fouth, leaving Loris Capirossi to take fifth for the Rizla Suzuki team.  

British Rider James Toseland finished in 7th place, just behind his Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team mate Colin Edwards.
