Bradley Smith in Tech 3 Moto2 talks

Bradley Smith will hold further talks with the Tech 3 Racing Moto2 squad in Estoril this weekend.

MCN understands the 19-year-old British rider will negotiate with French team boss Herve Poncharal after initial discussions took place during the recent Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.

Smith is currently with the Aspar Aprilia squad in the 125GP world championship but is desperate to move to the Moto2 series.

He has been in talks with Alex Debon’s Aeroport de Castello squad and also spoke to the Belgian-based Marc VDS Racing outfit that runs rising British star Scott Redding.

The Marc VDS Racing squad is reluctant to field two British riders though.

Smith, who has failed to win a 125GP in 2010 as the class has been dominated by Spanish trio Marc Marquez, Pol Espargaro and Nicolas Terol, could test the Tech 3 Racing bike in Valencia on November 8 if terms are agreed soon.
