Le Mans MotoGP: Stoner continues to lead in FP3

1 of 1

Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda) maintained his lead at Le Mans this morning, setting the fastest time in his final lap of the last practice session. The Australian led a Honda top four, pushing Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini) into second in the final moments of FP3.

Repsol Honda team mates Andrea Dovizioso and Dani Pedrosa set the third and fourth fastest times of the session, ahead of a consistent Nicky Hayden (Ducati Team) who continued to be the quickest Ducati rider at the French circuit, taking fifth.

Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha Factory Racing), who was last years winner at Le Mans, had to settle for sixth, finishing the session ahead of Valentino Rossi (Ducati Team) in seventh.

Brit Cal Crutchlow (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) was tenth fastest in the session, just 0.161s behind his vastly more experienced team mate Colin Edwards, on his first racing appearance at Le Mans.
