Casey Stoner completed his first test on Honda’s new 1000cc MotoGP bike in Jerez yesterday (Wednesday).
And to mark the occasion, HRC has released footage of the new bike on track, though as previously when Ducati unveiled video of Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden riding the new GP12, the sound of the engine has been dubbed out.
The Aussie, who dominated last weekend’s French MotoGP race in Le Mans, completed a further 25-laps on the new 1000cc bike with Honda deciding to take the second of its permitted eight days of testing with contracted riders for next year.
Spaniard Dani Pedrosa was also scheduled to take part in the test but he was absent after breaking his right collarbone in a controversial incident with Marco Simoncelli during last Sunday’s Le Mans race.
