Misano Moto2: Bradl dominates qualifying

Stefan Bradl (Viessman Kiefer Racing) dominated Moto2 qualifying at Misano to take pole position and will start tomorrow’s race ahead of Marc Márquez (Team CatalunyaCaixa Repsol) and Yuki Takahashi (Gresini Racing Moto2).

Márquez lost the front end and crashed out mid-way through the session, but escaped uninjured and with his bike largely intact. After a brief trip to the pits the Spaniard was able to re-join to defend his front row starting position.

Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing Team) put in a strong performance to secure fourth, starting at the front of the second row ahead of Alex De Angelis (RSM JIR Moto2) and Bradley Smith (Tech 3 Racing) in fifth and sixth respectively.

Despite crashing in the final minutes of the session, Andrea Iannone (Speed Master) held on to seventh place with Gresini Racing rider Michele Pirro and Pol Espargaro (Tuenti Speed Up) completing the third row in eighth and ninth, ahead of Tom Luthi (Interwetten Paddock Moto2) in tenth.
