Aragon MotoGP: Marquez secures Moto2 pole

Reigning 125GP champion Marc Marquez will start from pole position for the sixth time this season tomorrow at his home Grand Prix at Aragaon.

Marquez set a new pole record and was over half a second faster than the rest of the field. Julian Simon qualified second before high-siding. Simon – who broke his leg at Catalunya – went straight to the medical centre.

Completing the front row is Brit Scott Redding, onboard his Suter machine. Championship leader will start from the front of the second row in fourth.

Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith was unable to replicate his recent form and qualified 15th.
