Jerez MotoGP: Alex Rins secures Moto3 pole

Spanish 125 champion Alex Rins has taken his first pole position in Moto3 after a wet qualifying session at Jerez.

By the end of the session a dry line appeared, starting a scramble for the front spot on the grid, with the top spot changing almost every second in the last five minutes.

Red Bull KTM’s Sandro Cortese will start the race from second on the grid, with Rins’ team-mate Miguel Oliveira in third.

Red Bull KTM rider Danny Kent is the highest placed Brit in 15th, with Mahindra rider Danny Webb 21st on the grid.
