Kyle Ryde’s season in doubt

British 125 champion Kyle Ryde’s plans to race a Moto3 Honda this year are in jeopardy after the team’s proposed title sponsor withdrew their backing at the 11th hour.

Kyle’s father Sean told MCN: “We have been informed that our title sponsor has pulled out at the final hour. Kyle would have been riding the new Honda Moto3.

“We are absolutely devastated with the news as everything was coming together nicely and we were really looking forward to the season ahead.

“As it stands at the moment Kyle won’t be riding at all in BSB which will be a massive loss to the series as he is the reigning British 125 champion.”

Nottinghamshire-based Ryde became the youngest-ever British 125 champion when he won last year’s title at the age of 14 years, two months and 17 days old.
