Le Mans MotoGP: Marquez eases to another pole

Marc Marquez has taken his fifth pole position from five race weekends in 2014 at the Le Mans circuit in France with a fastest time of 1.32.042 onboard his Repsol Honda.

The reigning champion will be joined on the front row by old rival Pol Espargaro who surprised everybody by putting his Tech 3 Yamaha machine in second place on the grid. Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso rounds out the front row in third.

Stefan Bradl, who recently underwent surgery to help with arm pump heads the second row ahead of the factory Yamaha duo of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.

Bradley Smith was unable to replicate the speed of his team-mate Espargaro and will start tomorrow’s race from 10th on the grid, two places ahead of compatriot Cal Crutchlow in 12th.
