After his Suzuka 8 Hours win it’s a case of back to the day job for Bradley Smith with the Tech3 Yamaha rider heading to the Brickyard full of confidence. Smith had a superb start to the 2015 season and is comfortably the top satellite rider in the championship but with the races in Indy, Brno and Silverstone all falling this month August could be a pivotal month for the championship.

“It’s time to go back to work and jump on the Yamaha at the Indy circuit which is a track with a huge amount of history,” said Smith. “The summer break was great for me although there wasn’t a lot of rest! Pol  and I contested the Suzuka 8 Hour race which we were able to win.

“The whole thing filled me with confidence for the second part of the year in MotoGP and I can certain that I can continue my strong form from the opening nine rounds where I finished no lower than eighth in all the races. I was eighth in Indy as a rookie and sixth last year and I hope to go one step further this year!”

Smith is currently joint fifth in the standings with Andrea Dovizioso.
